Our constantly updated list of the best wireless headphones is the perfect way to ditch the cable with as few compromises as possible.

Sitting at the top our list is the Bose QC25. Bose has finally brought its fantastic noise-cancelling technology to a pair of wireless headphones and it's done so without any of the traditional drawbacks of wireless headphones. They sound great, and their battery life is long enough for all but the longest of flights.
At $349.95 (£289.95 / AU pricing tbc) the QC35s sit firmly at the premium end of the spectrum, but if you want the best noise-cancelling headphones available and the best wireless pair of cans, you can't get any better than this.

These no-holds-barred wireless headphones are oozing with positive qualities, but for many, they're almost prohibitively expensive. However, if you're an audio lover that can spare the expense, do not hesitate on this comfortable, hard-working set of headphones that will likely last for years.

The Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless headphones are a great pair of Bluetooth headphones for fans of bass-heavy music genres. Their sound is both robust and weighty for all genres, but especially so when it comes to EDM and hip hop.
Besides sounding great, the physical construction of the headphones is also excellent. The signature B&W look is no less pleasing here, and we're big fans of how the cable port is hidden from view by the magnetic earcups.

If you're a frequent traveler you're probably all too familiar with headphones that can't hold a charge and can't block out sound, let alone sound very good. Let us introduce you to the Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2, one of the few headphones on the market that can do all of the above and cost less than half as much as one of the bigger names like Beats, Bose and Sony.
If we had to boil it down to its core, the BackBeat Pro 2 offers an excellent travel headphone with incredible battery life, supreme comfort, the ability to pair two device as once and, most importantly, good sound quality for the cost.

The MDR-1000X are definitely the closest competitor to Bose's QuietComfort series we've ever had the pleasure of testing. Some high-end codecs (LDAC, AAC and aptX) help the 1000X sound even better than the QC35s, but ultimately the noise canceling is a bit less effective in Sony's pair of cans.
What should drive your decision on whether to buy the MDR-1000X is your music player – if you're a Sony Xperia owner, you'd be hard-pressed to find a pair of headphones that sound as good as these with noise canceling tech built-in. Even if you're not, Sony's wares are still worth a listen – and maybe a purchase – if you aren't too put out by its $400 (£330 or AU$700) price tag.

If you're a fan of Sennheiser's sound, but want noise-cancellation in addition to wireless operation then the PXC 550 headphones might be exactly what you're looking for. They might be pricey, but these headphones sound great.
The reason we haven't put them further up the list comes down to their controls. Although controlling the headphones with a series of swipes on the outside of the earcup feels futuristic, it's not much help when you want to quickly skip through multiple tracks, or set the volume at a specific level.
Outside of these issues, these are a great pair of headphones that tick (almost) all the boxes.

Continuing the trend that the original NuForce BE6 started, the Optoma Nuforce BE6i are a minor update to an already great pair of earbuds and remain one of our favorite in-ear wireless headphones for the price.
Offering good sound, build quality and battery life in its segment if you're looking for a pair of wireless in-ear headphones that can survive a strenuous work out, the these should be on the top of your list of headphones to try.

While not the fanciest option available, those only looking for the must-have features will find that there's a lot to like here. The build quality and materials are top-notch for the price. The sound quality won't blow your mind, but it's totally serviceable for listeners looking for a full sound. Its most treasured feature is the battery life, which is supposed to last for 17 hours – though, personally, we were able to squeeze 20 hours out of them.

While they don't have all the bells and whistles of the top three wireless headphones, the Jaybird X2 possesses a trifecta of fantastic sound performance, above-average battery life and ease of use, something that its competition has a hard time accomplishing. Even if you're not necessarily looking for your next pair of gym-ready headphones, these make the X2s great for fitness use, like hearty sound performance and above average battery life, translate fluidly into a set of wireless in-ear headphones that are equally great for general use.

The Beats X is a bold new product for what has quickly become a traditional headphone maker. Instead of sticking to bass-heavy workout earbuds or wildly expensive over-ears, the company has crafted a new pair of musically inclined in-ears for anyone already sick of losing their brand-new Apple AirPods.
It has a few problems of its own – including poor noise isolation and a lack of fidelity – but if you're looking for a no-fuss pair of earbuds that charge in 5 minutes and don't mind dropping some cash on them, the Beats X are for you.

-Plenty long enough
-Comes with cable separators
-Price is fair
-6+2 cables split close to the base so you can tuck the extra (2) away and run the 6 up to your graphics card without extra cables hanging around. (If applicable) - Cons: -None that I can think of.

- Cons: It lowered my fps and it made watching videos choppy.
- Other Thoughts: Would not recommend it. With the amount of bad reviews it got you'd think that Thermaltake would give us something better.

- Pros: Might not be an engineering marvel, but gets the job done just fine. What more do you want? :)
Easy on the wallet - Cons: Depending on the connectors on the PSU side, it might not look like it's connected all the way, so that might be a bit confusing.
- Other Thoughts: Don't know what all the hubbub is about. It works fine and lets you add extra fans to your rig.

- Pros: 1 male to 2 female 4 pin fan connector. You can indeed control the fan speed of both fans connected to the port. Sleeved for protection, and nice sleek black coloring.
- Cons: It's not free? Seriously there are none.
- Other Thoughts: For those complaining about a "missing pin" there are none missing. The reason one has 3 pins and the other has 4 is for the explicit reason of getting rpm speed from the fan connected to that port with 4 pins. The connection with 3 pins simply goes at the clocking and speeds set for the one with 4 pins. If you complain about this feature seriously learn a thing or two about computers firstly and secondly go buy a new motherboard. This adaptor gives you great bang for buck. I tested with 2x 120mm fans, a 120mm fan with a 90mm fan, a 120mm with 80mm, 120mm with 40mm, and each fan size with their corresponding fan size. And was honestly stunned when even the 40mm fan changed speeds with the 120mm fan. If you're like me and want as many fans everywhere on your computer this is definitely for you. I WILL be buying at least one more of these if not two. And the shipping time? It was about a week, I live in Texas and this was by far the quickest over sea shipment I've ever had. I can assure you this product works and has no faults. The likelihood of it arriving doa is also dang near impossible. It'd have to have a faulty wire and because it's just wires this product could of even got wet when shipped and it'd be just fine. If you don't believe me do research upon computers. I'm a computer enthusiast and I love computers it's not only my hobby it is my passion and my means of work. don't discredit this company they deserve respect for the quality they've given at a great price.

- Pros: It looks nice. Besides the shielding bubbling and creased all over the place.
- Cons: The riser cable is the biggest piece of ****. Thermaltake and Newegg are well aware of this terrible product but continue to sell it anyway. Think the Riser cable they sell is any better? Well the answer is no, I order one and the build quality looks and feels any cheaper. The packaging advertising looks nice but having the cable coming folded is a joke.
Thermaltake take has hundred and hundreds on complaint from well over a year both on this site and their own.
They continue to sell the product anyway.
The instructions for the case itself are lacking on a lot of detail and I probably wouldn't recommend this case for a first build.
Now after spending so much time trying to troubleshoot the issue I have to RMA the cable that they make probably 1000% margin. Do not get a replacement refuse and demand a refund! - Other Thoughts: I bought a 2 dollar riser off AAmaz0n preformed perfectly. Stopped getting stuttering and performance issues. These cable they sell can't ever obtain pcie 3.0. The new one can do 2.0 x16 the one included with the case can do 1.1 x8.

- Pros: - Cables show no ketchup and mustard colours. Its clean black.
- Cables are malleable enough for cable management. - Cons: Nothing was really wrong with this cable. Only possible improvement I can think of is perhaps smaller plastic ends
- Other Thoughts: As I was wondering before I bought it, 1 of the endings has 4 pins. That is the one which reads the speed. The other fans will spin at the same speed as it, so you must occupy that slot first.

- Pros: None
- Cons: SATA power cable from the kit I purchased was used to connect my EVGA modular power supply and my SanDisc SSD.
When everything was plugged in and the power button was pressed, I saw a flash (too quick I could even tell from what part of the system), a "clip" sound (typical sound when electronic component is fried), and burning smell. The system was on for less than a second with aforementioned symptom and then went dead.
After hours of toubleshooting, eventually I found out using the original power supply cable supplied by EVGA, the system could be turned on. With the BitFenix SATA power cable connecting to the SSD, the system would not turn on.
It was further discovered the SSD was already fried dead using the cable provided by BitFenix.
I replaced the BitFenix cable with original EVGA power cable and used my backup Intel SSD to boot the system.
And everything just works fine. This further confirms that the cable was defective and fried my SSD. - Other Thoughts: I managed to get in touch with BitFenix customer service. Unfortunately, they do not provide any live support either online or over the phone but only a very basic IMO shoddy online request system.
Basically, you send them a message and expect to wait days before they get back to you.
Furthermore, the person I reached was not helpful at all. He kept shying away from their defective product and tried to find various excuses but admit there is a severe deficiency in their product.
I spent rounds and rounds of communication hoping to resolve the issue but failed. They will not pay a cent for your component their product has caused damage to.
At the end of the day not only their cable fried my SSD but also hours and hours of my time were wasted trying to resolve the issue with very unsuccessful results. Very, very, very frustrating...
Please NOTE, they will not commit to pay for any damage that is caused by their defective products.
I hope you seriously consider the risks you are facing with when buying their products.
I would not recommend anyone to buy these cables period based on my real life experience.
I would not recommend anyone to buy any of their products based on the pain I have been thru with their customer service.

- Pros: Nice quality cable, good braiding. I was able to run all 5 fans and had plenty of room for the cable.
- Cons: This cable did not work with my MSI B150m Gaming Pro motherboard. All connected fans run @ 100%. They do not adjust according to cpu or temperature. I even adjusted my bios. Still no good. Yes I hooked it up correctly to all pwm fans. The problem is the motherboard connection is only a two pin.

- Pros: You get what you see here. Installed the three of them a few days ago and works as advertised. The one review complained about one of the plugs only having three pins. the fourth pin is to report back fan RPM's. So if both had them reporting the mobo wouldn't know how to read that plus it's explained in the item description as well. Had the mobo auto calibrate my fans and they are all running smoothly. Definitely only recommend this be used with two model match fans otherwise you might over power or under power a fan.
- Cons: If you have short fan cables and a mid to full size tower you might want to stay away and go for something long as i have a mid size tower and i had to do some unintended design planning with my short fan cables. Also if appearance is a big thing the mesh looks exactly as it does in the picture.
- Other Thoughts: Good, cheap and works as well as a y splitter should work
